John Oliver did a nice breakdown of psychics, including some hilarious fails. The most surprising part is that four in 10 people in the U.S. believe psychic powers are real. Not sure how to feel about that.

Wattpad’s parent company is buying Poshmark. Content+ecommerce is a go-to strategy in publishing, so I don’t think this is as much of a stretch as it seems.

@BenSobieck I see. Interesting.

@Red_Harvey It is, but Naver has always had a mixed portfolio. It even has its own payment processor (Naver Pay).

@Damienrocks118 It shows that Wattpad's parent company is well capitalized, which is a lot more than most of the publishing world can say. I wouldn't draw many conclusions beyond that.

I find it harder and harder to listen to music with vocals. I don't know what it is, but ever since the pandemic, my musical preferences have leaned hard toward instrumental/electronic. I like Chopin for classical piano, and whatever I can find on Amazon Prime Music for the rest.

          "Eclectic and groovy" is how I'd describe what I listen to while doing anything creative. Here's what I mean:

          What do you listen to?

@BenSobieck thats same thing. Good mental health means good thought strength which means better frequency. People think on different wavelengths creating their vibration aka Vibes. For me The simpler the better :)

That the CIA investigated psychic phenomenon is relatively well known, but did you know that you can read declassified documents describing what it found? A process, called Gateway, leverages sound, hypnosis, and meditation to expand consciousness:

          https://www.cia.gov/readingroom/docs/CIA-RDP96-00788R001700210016-5.pdf

          There’s a more readable summary here, too:

          I appreciate meditation, but I view this all with a skeptical eye. Government programs have a way of embellishing results to keep the money going. However, it makes for great color for the Confessions of a Fake Psychic Detective series.

If the Contraction, Expansion, Trend, Contraction parts of “The Broken Clock is Right Thrice” were puzzling, I’ll be explaining that in the fifth Confessions of a Fake Psychic Detective story.

          Ooops, I let the cat out of the bag there.
