Science fiction author David Drake passed away on Sunday, at the age of 78.

Drake wrote the “Hammer’s Slammers” series of military sf stories and novels as a way to process his experiences in Vietnam.

I've never published a short story collection.

Determining the number of words I need in the final draft to guarantee a 120,000 word published manuscript is proving to be a process of trial-and-error.

In this article, I discuss my new target and why I chose it.

I also share a chart I created to depict my progress so far.
