Hello, my name is LaDene.

I am an author currently working on my first young adult novel for suspense/fantasy genre. In 2014 I released a self-published children's book called, Hallie the Harvester Ant: Never Give Up.

It's been a dream of mine to write but until life threw me a fastball, I never acted on that dream--until now!

Through unemployment, being broke and on the verge of foreclosure, somehow my Hallie the Ant story came to be. It's not easy to go through such difficulty, but when it happens, you don't give up and you never quit!!  

It may sound easier said than done but, believe me, it's the only way to make it without going insane... or becoming depressed!

As a writer, I want my stories to touch the heart and the emotions of the reader, which is perfect, since I write with my heart on my sleeve.  I write with a lot of emotion and I hope to convey that to my readers.

About myself:

 I am also a passionate animal advocate/activist, wildlife enthusiast and nature lover.  I believe in being a voice for the voiceless and standing up for those who cannot stand up for themselves.

I love to read history, autobiographies, true-crime, mystery/suspense and, of course, children's books. I love being inspired by good authors and great stories!
