Byron Laviolette

I have dedicated my life to telling stories in ways that invite people in and make them eager to find out what's next. While this series represents my first novels, I have written for various publications, including Eye Weekly, IN Toronto Magazine, and Adbusters. I have also worked as a professional theatre director in Toronto, Canada for the past twenty years and spent several years as a narrative designer for a bespoke experiential engagement agency whose clients included NASA, Microsoft, Starbucks, Autodesk, Ubisoft, Metrolinx and the CBC.  Most recently, I have directed audiobooks, both fiction and non-fiction, for Penguin Random House Canada, which has further influenced my writing for stories that can be communicated both on and off the page. I also have a PhD in Interactive and Transmedia Fiction from York University, which has informed much of my work, and inspired a passion for in depth world building in any medium I work in.
