Carole McDonnell holds a BA in Literature from SUNY Purchase and is a writer of Christian, supernatural, speculative-fiction, fantasy, science fiction, and ethnic stories. 

Her writings appear in various anthologies, including So Long Been Dreaming: Postcolonialism in Science Fiction, edited by Nalo Hopkinson and published by Arsenal Pulp Press; Jigsaw Nation, published by Spyre Books; and Life Spices from Seasoned Sistahs: Writings by Mature Women of Color among others.

Her reviews appear at various online sites.

Her novels are the Christian speculative fiction, Wind Follower, and the alternative world novel, The Constant Tower. Her other writings include, Seeds of Bible Study: How NOT to Study the Bible, Spirit Fruit: Collected Stories by Carole McDonnell,

She is currently working on nonfiction Christian books: Blogging the Psalms, A Fool's Journey Through the Book of Psalms,

and a YA specfic novel: My Life as an Onion.

She also writes children's e-picture book with her husband, cartoonist Luke McDonnell
