I am a mother of 13 children; I cheated because after marrying my heart mate he added to six more. We also have thirty grandchildren, and four great grandchildren--life could not be better! I know, I've had worse. I spent most of my life in an abusive relationship; it ended and then my life begun! I went back to school, Copper Mountain College, finished my degree and was employed but the college as a library specialist. I love my job! To have the chance to help other students and give back not only to them but my community has been the best experiance ever! I love delving into our community and helping so many people in many ways. I enjoy community theatre-- they are my family. I have been involved with the American Cancer Society, Relay For Life for over six years now--cancer MUST be made a thing of the past! My other love is writing; with this I can tell stories of my life and how we can make even the worst moment be a learning and teaching oppertunity. I have embarked in a new venue and found that this is just one more facet of who I am; stand up comedy. Oh I know, I'm fifty-seven years old but for me, my age will never define who I am or what I can accomplish! I have been publised twice in Chicken Soup for the Soul and have decided to try and write a novel. Not fiction; more in the style of the great Erma Bombeck-- As you read some of my stories you will find I have suffered a loss but I always come from the ashes renewed. Life is what it is...we have ups and downs and even tornados that rip out our hearts and souls-- as long as our foundation is stong we can survive!
