Happy Fri-YAY, everyone! In addition to the chapter I posted a few hours ago, I have another Oceana update:
          	
          	As of today, I've pulled down all but six chapters of Wicked Waters (if you'd like to know more about why, check the update posted before this one). I'll give it another week or so before I start pulling down Ruthless Rivers; there are a few folks reading right now and I want to give you time to get through.
          	
          	Frozen Fathoms is still posting and will be for another week.
          	
          	"But Cee, how is that possible? The story isn't done yet!"
          	
          	Well... I'm going to post a chapter a day for the next week. Surprise!
          	
          	I'm not yet 100% sure when I'll be pulling Frozen Fathoms off Wattpad; I want to give everyone enough of a chance to read it, but its vulnerability makes me itchy. Right now, I'm planning to leave it up until mid-October.

          	Right now, I'm taking a bit of a break from drafting and posting the series. I've posted just about every single week since late 2017, so I'm... kinda tired! I hope that taking a little break will help me regroup so I can finish it off in a satisfying way before moving into edits. I do have eventual plans to self-publish the series, but that's going to take several years to come to fruition; costs of professional production aside, I *really* need to revise it before it'll be ready to go.

          	  I can't lie. A lot of us are going to miss you(??) and this series so much!!

You said you plan to publish in 2025?? Lol god it's gonna kill me to wait for the forth book. Do you plan to do them all as one a set or singled? Is the forth the last book?I hope I get them reread before they disappear and I really hope you still pop in here to keep us updated. ❤️

Happy Fri-YAY, everyone. I have a super important announcement:
          
          Yesterday, I discovered that AI has scraped parts of Wattpad. Although only artwork has been scraped thus far (to my knowledge), Wattpad has refused to include protective terminology in its contracts, thus making it possible for Wattpad stories to be scraped for language learning models like chat gpt in the future.
          
          This is, obviously, unacceptable, and as a result, I no longer feel comfortable operating on this site.
          
          Given the risk that poses to me and my work, I will begin removing earlier works in the Oceana Series within the next few weeks. My intention is to finish posting Frozen Fathoms  for everyone who's still reading along, but I will not be posting the next book in the series, Darkest Depths, on Wattpad.
          
          Instead, I plan to continue posting on Patreon. I understand that this transfers the consequences of the decisions made by websites like Wattpad to my readers, but in order to protect myself, my work, and my writing career, I can't continue offering my biggest series for free; 'free use' is what makes it a target. From the bottom of my heart, I apologize for how this will impact you, the readers who've been with me this whole time.
          
          I do plan to publish the series, so it'll be available again in the future, but that day won't come until 2025-6. If you'd like to continue reading in the meantime, you can check out https://www.patreon.com/ceemtaylor .             I can understand where you are coming from though.   
            The Oceana series is one the best stories and writing's.

@Birb141 I don't have any conclusive evidence that publicly available writing on any website won't get scraped, so I won't be posting any books that way from now on.

@CeeMTaylor That’s understandable, and really sucks for authors on this site. My question is why not publish the Oceana series on Patreon but keep it public? What’s the reason for paywalling it when the original plan was to publish it publicly?
