​For over 30 years, I have been a child and family counsellor, a children's hospital crisis worker, and a foster parent. While I have no kids of my own, my entire life has been dedicated to working with them.
​I started wanting to write when the character of Kim popped into my head over twenty years ago. She was tepid and scared, hiding a power she didn't understand. Like so many of the young women I have worked with over the years, she had anger she was afraid to show-an inner beast she didn't know how to control.
​I chose to tell her story through Urban Fantasy because sometimes, the best way to explain the real monsters we fight is to give them claws.
​I have never sought formal publishing; I tell my stories simply because they are in me to tell. Nothing I post is AI-generated, though it is all edited by AI. (If Gemini were a person, it would probably think I'm weird).
