I have been writing all throughout my life. I love playing with words, learning about new words, reading other writer's stories and studying how they use words. The bulk of my work over the years has been poetry. I literally have boxes full of journals and scraps of paper that contain all my innermost thoughts and some of my deepest feelings. These pages can be traced back to high school and as a child I remember writing letters and little stories for my grandmother though I don't know whatever became of those. I feel like writing is a calling for me. I've been through some very turbulent storms in my life and writing has always been my constant, my anchor to the world. I've always found it easier to let my feelings and observations about life flow from my pen onto paper than to try and articulate through spoken words. It's as though I've been writing a script for myself to help me navigate this sometimes painful and often overwhelming world around me. I love Sci-Fi and fantasy, anything that explores the big question, my favorite question,
" What If....." I have been going through these scraps and finding story ideas, pages of dialogue and monologues that seem to be setting the stage for a bigger story to tell, hopefully enough to get me on the path to also write something longer than a poem. For now, I will begin to share my poetry and eventually start sharing my stories as they start to come to life.
