"Get your head out of the clouds, girl, or you'll never amount to anything." Boy howdy, do I wish I could go back to high school and tell a few of those teachers that they were wrong. I know that being dyslexic and shy, I didn't excel at anything like so many of my peers. Turned out, the thing I was good at was dancing in those clouds with my imaginary people. Now it took me a while to learn to write, but I'm not a quitter.

Today, that wallflower back in high school is an outspoken New York Times bestselling author of over twenty books. Southern to the core, and sassy as I can get away with, I write young adult series and humorous romantic suspense novels. Young adult because I plan to always stay young at heart and because teens have a tendency to like a smarta$$. Suspense because I've learned nothing keeps a reader turning pages faster than a little murder, and humor, because . . . well, I think falling in love should be fun. And funny.  

When I'm not writing, I'm sipping wine with friends, walking -- trying to keep my backside smaller than the chair -- or spending time with my hubby, my family, and my dog.
