I want to open and honest with you guys. A lot has happened these past couple of months. My family and I contracted COVID in August, causing my boyfriend and his dad to be hospitalized. My boyfriend went into respiratory failure as well as contracting pneumonia and sepsis while having COVID, and his dad’s oxygen was low. Luckily, we all made a full recovery. My sister passed away a month later due to an overdose, which inspired my most recent work: Fear, Loneliness, and Comfort. I’m still doing my grieving.
Then, on the night of December 1st into the early hours of December 2nd, a fire started in our house. Thankfully, no one was hurt. My family and I were on vacation; our house sitter was gone for the day; and our dog was at a family member’s house. The fire started in the spare bedroom, which was mainly for storage, and spread throughout the room. Though the other bedrooms were not burned, water, heat, and smoke damage along with insulation, which is from the ceiling where the firefighters had to pull it down, ruined almost everything we owned. We were only able to salvage a few things, but our clothes, shoes, and furniture were only a fraction of the things lost.
I have a GoFundMe if you’d like to donate. The link is https://gofund.me/2a255bda. However, if you can’t, it’s okay.
I just wanted to let you guys know why I haven’t been active for a while. I am truly sorry for not updating.
