I first learned to love stories through Star Wars. Something about the story (maybe it was the culture of Star Wars in my house) made me want to spend time in a universe other than our own. I watched all of the movies multiple times then moved on to the Clone Wars and Rebels when they came out. Needless to say, I am a huge Star Wars fanatic.

Due to my love of other worlds, I became a voracious reader. I continued reading huge stacks of pages through middle school before my habit was blown to oblivion in high school when the real world became the most important thing. Now I'm trying to get back to reading. I tend to roam the fantasy and science fiction shelves at bookstores and libraries. My favorites include Orson Scott Card's Speaker for the Dead and Magic Kingdom for Sale/Sold by Terry Brooks. I also love Star Wars books (I've read fifty or sixty of them).

I started to write stories when I was in second grade. My first novel length story began in eighth grade when my English teacher thought it would be a good idea for us to write a fractured fairy tale. I wrote about seventy pages in the first two weeks of having it assigned and didn't stop. Now I love to participate in NaNo WriMo and have won twice.

I'm also an Eagle Scout, runner, and workaholic.
