So my mother has fallen into the "covid vax has microchips in them" crowd. Idk if I'm gonna be able to get it without more arguments over it (already had two) so I might just wait out the next month and a half before she can't legally prevent me from getting the vaccine (I turn 18 a bit past half way into September)

I think I mostly over my "apply for jobs" nerves due to boredom starting to take over and now just got "get my non believing mother to get me and my brother covid shots" nerves to feel with as I want to get my covid shot before I work and my brother wants his too.

Does anyone have any advice, I'm 17, in the us, and my ma is pressuring me to work now that I'm out of high school for a month and I've been getting really anxious/nervous at even the thought. I have few choices of where I could work due to my age and lack of a license. Does anyone know ways I could feel less terrified of working?

Thank you for this advice! I was already thinking that I was going to end up with retail/service as there a handful of small stores/fast food restaurants in walking distance.

@DemonOfADiamond I can give you some advice. I am 24 but I was pressured to find a job after high school. At 17 I had put in many applications and many did not come back with results. But at this very moment, because ppl don't want to work or work from home, businesses want ppl to work. It should be easier. Try an entry-level job basically retail, I would say the service industry as well but it is faster-paced. Go to a place that you go often to so you kind of know the place or you know someone who works there and see if they are taking applications/ hiring. Fill out their application and go back after two days. See if the manager is working and talk to them to say that you are interested in working. Big tip: when you get an interview if you guys start talking about a common interest you got the job! I know it is gonna be nerve raking, But when I got my first job I found I had quite the customer service specialist.

My cats a bitch. She jumped from my bed to the floor and onto my desk so she could have a hairball on top of my mouse pad and mouse.
On the other hand, I decided to try crocheting two days ago. While I may not be able to make a square quite yet (they keep becoming triangles) I like it. It's fun to do it with an audiobook or something to listen to.

Crocheting is actually really calming, I like making plushies blankets hats gloves with the yarn I obtain. My cat is also a dickhead he lets out a massive dump in the shower like every week or so.
