I write. A bunch. It's kind of my thing.

I read a bunch, too. I like fantasy. I like science fiction. If it's a moderately popular fantasy book (excepting YA--I can't seem to keep up with YA) there's a good chance I've read it.

I have a deep respect for the written word, and for this grotesque excuse for a language we use to express it. Generally I take my writing, and my reading, pretty seriously; I'm not really the guy who can ignore the fundamentals if you've got a nifty plot or a super dreamy lead character. A story starts with the little things, with the bits and pieces that fit together to form something greater. Get that right. Then work on the rest.

Of course I don't expect anyone reading my work to give me a free pass, either. Let me have it. I can take it :)

Favorite Authors: Patrick Rothfuss, Robin Hobb, Steven Erikson, Joe Abercrombie, Frank Herbert, GRRM

Favorite Movies: Who cares!? It's all about the writing :)

@domexis Aren't I just the worst kind of person? :P
Today or tomorrow. Hopefully...scene is proving persnickety, but it should be interesting if I ever get it right. :)
