Simply put, I'm leaving Wattpad.
My decade on Wattpad has grown me as a person and a writer. I'm very thankful for the books I've read here and the authors who offered their work for free.
And I'm thankful for all of you. I was a very different person when I started writing here. I didn't know who I was and the ultimate goal I had for writing.
I never thought this day would come. I believed Wattpad would always be a part of my life, but the changes to the website and the changes within me, have made it clear that I no longer care to stay. I'm 26 and I feel I've outgrown the target audience of this platform. Not even my books are fit for teenage audiences.
Some of my books will still be available to read here. I love seeing your comments and I know how much it means to have access to free books (I was an avid Wattpader once upon a time). But most of them will be removed and I won't be updating here anymore.
You will be able to find me on Ream. It's an author alternative to Patreon and while I'll have paid access, all the books I had for free on Wattpad will be free there. In the future, you'll find me on Amazon and other book retailers! I'm focusing my time on publishing my books which means professional covers and print editions! I'm so excited to take the next step in my career and I hope you take it with me.

@DecoyCloud I'm glad that it wasn't like you thought Puppet was a cute wholesome romance! I know I'll lose many readers from my migration, but I'm thankful that you're giving it a try. I hope this will be my only move and I can live on Ream for as long as I did on Wattpad. The site is only a year old and they've already done so much, but they're still working on things.

@DianeNBennett I set up an account yesterday, it took quite a while cause... The Internet's a tad bit slow, and I had to leave the website about three times before i clicked the link, went to the website for the fourth time and it finally loaded. I may not understand how ream works fully because I am an old lady at heart -not literally an old lady though lol- but I'll get there eventually, besides. I've read old books that turned out really good only to find out it was made around 2017-2019 and will never be updated again, so knowing that exterminate is on a completely different website, still free to read AND knowing that I'll most likely support you until you quit, one day because no one can keep doing their used to be favourite things forever, is fine with me. Anyways, I wish you luck on your new journey and wherever it takes you, Best wishes for u Diane!!
