Author of "Quintspinner - A Pirate's Quest" , (an action novel set in the swashbuckling 1700"s with a bit of romance and magic thrown in) which has won multiple awards in best YA, best historical and best commercial novel categories (Book one in the Quintspinner trilogy), and "Deadly Misfortune" (Book Two in the same trilogy) I live on the Canadian prairies, where we are treated to the most glorious sunsets that you could imagine every night all year long.

Our house is a very busy one - two parents, 6 grown-up kids - at least they profess to be - (4 sons, 2 daughters) and a pride of cats. My writing will always have something in it from a girl's perspective and also from a guy's - gotta keep peace in the family, you know? No favorites!

Even though we live in the middle of town, our yard attracts all kinds of creatures -  deer sleep under the large evergreen tree by our front door, a muskrat comes to visit our hot tub, a young badger slinks through the flowerbeds, and all kinds of birds dance and play in the waterfall and pond.

 I'm working my way through my Bucket List and wrote Quintspinner as the result of having made the choice between writing a novel or learn to play the bagpipes. My husband is grateful for that particular choice...

Music is a must-have - I always have some techno pumping while I write ( although a good sword fight sometimes requires something a little more um ... celtic and ... powerful - yeah! that's it!) 

 I'm also a BIG fan of white chocolate. 

I love trying new things - ran a marathon, learned to play piano and guitar, tried surfing,  built a stone staircase, wrote a book, had a 200 lb Irish Wolfhound and a black potbellied pig as my favorite pets, and now I'm looking forward to meeting you all on Wattpad.
