Hey everyone,
          	
          	Don’t panic if you just received a bunch of notifications for story updates. I just made the changes I said I was going to in order to make everything comply with Wattpad’s new rules. Everything is explicitly 18+, being in the story description, the story tags, and in each relevant chapter. I think everything’s good now. If it’s not, we’ll cross that bridge when we get there. I’ll keep you guys in the loop about what happens.
          	
          	In other news, Mysterious Hunter new chapter WILL be coming out in the next couple days. There are two scenes left to write, with one already being mostly written.

@SPARTANOFDEATH2001 I was actually considering that, so I am setting up a server. It’s slow-going since there are lots of bells and whistles, but I’m working through it. When I have it fully up and tested, I’ll start inviting people.

            It’s not very reasonable in my opinion. Sure, in real life, you may not want sex between a 16 y/o and whoever, but it does happen. Teenagers do it all the time with each other, and it’s mostly okay (parents generally don’t want to talk about it, but that’s more of them being worried about their children rather than the act itself being wrong). Besides, Wattpad used to think it was okay too, especially since the age of consent in Canada, where it’s headquartered, is 16. I don’t know why they’re suddenly changing it, just that they are.
            
            And that’s without getting into the differences between reality and fiction.

@Dracopyre321 I'm having a dilemma about this, I enjoyed that type of writing. On other half is good to make a restrictions but fuck restrictions there's no way People actually edging to some writing and also lots of media Have sort like this and people normalize it. I just hope the stories isn't deleted but given a restrictions.

@NEROLUCIFER Good to know. Depending on what happens when the rule goes into effect, I may start posting on AO3, FFN, or both. I just set up something with AO3 to get an account, but it’s weird in that you have to sign up to get an invitation. Whatever it is, my name on there will probably also be Dracopyre321.

Hey everyone,
          
          Regarding my update last night, I wanted to clear up what is actually happening with Wattpad.
          
          Essentially, they’re updating what the age of consent for characters in stories is. It used to be that they had to be 16+ since that’s the age of consent in Canada, where Wattpad is headquartered, but as of April 15th, 2024, but now, it will be 18+. This means that any story that has characters below 18 participating in sexual situations may get deleted. You can imagine what effect that’ll have on various stories across Wattpad, especially since many are fanfictions where despite the characters involved are more mature than they normally would be for their age due to their circumstances, they are still under 18. Note that tamer acts, such as kissing and holding hands between these characters is considered fine and sex can be alluded to, but nothing explicit can be written for them (you know how I like my lemons).
          
          As such, I will go through the process of updating the chapters in my stories where this would the case with a small disclaimer at the top saying that the characters involved are indeed 18+ so that nothing is deleted. Any future chapter in which there is sexual content will also have this disclaimer.

@ImAmDense Already done. Started writing in Word years ago. Only a small percentage of chapters aren’t saved in Word, and those are saved elsewhere.

Hey everyone,
          
          This is not a content update, but I just wanted to let you know that with Wattpad’s new guidelines regarding smut and character age, some of my stories may be deleted. Don’t worry, I have everything backed up, so even if something gets deleted, I’ll be able to reupload it. That being said, if they do get deleted, I’m thinking of switching to a friendlier platform. I like Wattpad’s features, but if they’re insistent on killing their writers, I don’t know if I want to be apart of that. I’m thinking FFN since I use that to read stories myself, but let me know what you think.
          
          Also, I am putting this out there now: ALL CHARACTERS IN MY STORIES DOING ANYTHING INAPPROPRIATE ARE 18+! SEE THAT WATTPAD???
          
          Regardless, I’m not stopping writing. I know it may seem like it at times with a lack of updates, but I’ve been a little burnt out. I’m not stopping though. I’m actually almost done with the newest Ichigo chapter, so look forward to that soon!

@Dracopyre321 just put a notice up on the volume 5 chapter on and each lemon or lime chapter saying that all characters involved in lemon or lime scenes are 18 and above in age on your the neglected rose harem story and for each of your other stories

@S773510 that doesn’t matter the women in the harems or if they are single love interest books  need to be 18 or over if these girls or girl  are like 17 then wattpad’s gonna send his RBWY neglected rose harem book to the shadow realm and any other books as well   but luckily the author has that book saved somewhere

@dracopyre321 your gonna want to age up your characters wattpad’s new guidelines are gonna be mass deleting stories with characters who are taking part in lemon or lime scenes who aren’t 18 so if  Y/N and his harem aren’t 18 or over by the time you started writing those lemon and lime scenes you might want to go back and age up your characters in the harem And Y/N but if they are all 18 and over  you might want to make that clear in your story or  this story is  going to be sent to the shadow realm

But obviously in the uk the age of consent is 16 same as Japan so I think Wattpad is trying to kill there own app so god knows what happens to stories that take place in a foreign country where being 16 or 17 and having lemons or limes in them is completely legal I think Wattpad is probably gonna have to in 6 months when most of the stories on Wattpad are gone gonna have to create a new guideline to relax up on the 18+ software which is gonna cause all this mess
