ABOUT ME

I have the deepest affection for intellectual conversations. To just sit and talk. About love, about life, about anything, about everything. To sit under the moon with all the time in the world, the full speed train of our lives slowing to a crawl. Bound by no obligations, barred by no human limitations. To speak without regret or fear of consequence. To talk for hours about what's really important in life.

I suffer from Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, or EDS-3. It took me 9 years to get an official diagnosis, and my experiences have led to my passion for medicine. I love meeting and talking to others who suffer from chronic pain, almost as much as I hate that they are suffering.

As someone who is generally quiet, someone who has been constantly interrupted and talked over, I'd like to express my genuine love and respect for the people who have listened. For the people who have stuck by me during some of my hardest times, and who even when they may not understand, have prompted and coaxed me on anyways. You are my heroes.

I am the humanist, pro-choice, outspoken, science loving, feminist you're afraid of. 

I am a feminist. Part of that is supporting the freedom of other women to make choices I may not. If you are pro-birth, you are not pro-life.
