A Blind Hero Update! I wrote three whole chapters this afternoon, so I have finally finished the USJ arc, and I’ll post a chapter later tonight.

For the book- I’ve decided that my lack of motivation to write this story isn’t going to go away, my interest in it kinda fizzled out in the last two months or so. But I won’t discontinue it! I made myself finish the USJ arc (there’ll be one more chapter after the three I’ve written) and then I’m going to change the format of the story a bit.
This is the important bit- after the USJ arc, the story is no longer going to be one long story, it’s going to be snippets and oneshots, all in the exact same universe and the same characters and everything, but only the bits and arcs and plot points that I want to write and I think you’d enjoy. That way, I don’t have to write the bits in between, which always kill my motivation and don’t work very well. I’ve got three ish plot points planned out, I’ll do my best to keep them in chronological order, so the story will just have big timeskips to the next interesting event. It will all make sense, there won’t be big changes that I haven’t mentioned before or anything.
I hope this all makes sense, and I hope you’re all still interested!

Also I should mention I plan on editing the story, wattpad is saying it’s a 3/4 hour long book and although I agree it’s long, I don’t think it’s quite that long, but I’m going to take out some unnecessary scenes and cut down sections. So, there might be a few weeks between the last USJ arc chapter, and the first one shot ish style chapter, because I’ll try and sort the story out!

Thanks for reading, I know this is long!
TL;DR- I’m going to edit A Blind Hero to cut it down, and then after the USJ arc it will be individual plot points and arcs, maybe lasting up to a few chapters, with larger time skips, so that I only have to write the interesting stuff!

Hi! It’s been a while, oops. Nearly three weeks. Honestly I haven’t updates half because I didn’t have time or motivation to write, and half because I forgot about this, but anyway, I’m officially done with school! Until September, but that’s three months away!
My plan for the summer currently consists of earning money. I’m trying to get a job, do some courses, and try to sell some of my art online. I haven’t made a schedule yet (I love schedules I’m a mess without them) but I will be sure to include writing on it.
Anyway- onto the exciting and relevant bit! I WROTE STUFF!! That’s right, I hyperfocussed for the entirety of this afternoon, six hours, and wrote three chapters worth of stuff. The USJ arc is done. Finally. I’ll post another announcement in a second to talk about the book.

No chapter this week, to be completely honest, I forgot. Not just about uploading yesterday, but literally about writing anything in general, I have nothing written past what I’ve published. Updates might be slow or nonexistent for the next two weeks, it’s my last two weeks of school so I have exams the last week.

Also, I’m really stressed right now because during these two weeks, I have to change my name at school. That means talking to my very scary head of year, and actually choosing the goddamn name. I think I’m going with Arden. But yeah, I’m terrified of doing this so I’m too stressed to write at the moment.

Sorry for not warning you about the lack of a chapter, I hope you have a good week!

Successfully uploaded another chapter, I’m proud of myself for writing this actually, seeing as I didn’t think I’d manage to, turns out once I got into the swing of writing it wasn’t too hard.

Yet again, no definite chapter next week, it all depends on how much schoolwork I have to do and whether I have the motivation to do it or not. Also, I finished Jujutsu Kaisen this week and I’m upset because I love it so much, it’s my joint favourite anime (tied with Tokyo Ghoul), I love every character so much!!!! Nearly cried when I finished it but that last episode was incredible. Go watch it if you haven’t! It’s 24 episodes of pure awesomeness!

About the update this weekend- I’m not sure I’ll be able to do it, as I haven’t got a chapter ready. If I manage to finish it this weekend, I’ll publish it, but if not then there won’t be an update until the week after. I’d love to say I’ve been busy this week, but I haven’t, yet still I have had no free time at all, I don’t know how that works.

Thank you so much for 500 reads on A Blind Hero, I really appreciate it! Votes and comments would also be much appreciated, if you’re enjoying the story :)

I’m lacking motivation for writing a little, probably because of school stress, but if anyone has any ideas at all please message me!

Also, in the A/N last chapter I mentioned looking for a new name, and I’ve made a list (a very very long list which I slowly narrowed down) so please call me Arden, Aspen, Milo, or Blue, I’d appreciate seeing how I feel about those ones!

Again, thank you for your support and I’m sorry about the possibility of no update this week! I’ll see what I can do :)

Hi again! I do in fact have a chapter to post tomorrow, although the one after that is horribly incomplete. I’ve been distracted by anime this week, part 1 of the final season of AOT came out, MHA season 5, and also the drama of the AOT manga finishing. Not to mention I’m halfway through jujutsu kaisen, and binged most of Parasyte. Basically, I have a heap of anime to watch lmao. I’m also still procrastinating the usj arc, which really doesn’t help.

In other news, thanks so much for nearly 350 reads! I love seeing the views go up! I know that the length of the story probably puts people off, so I’m already planning to do a rewrite at some point in the future when I inevitably pause updates. The rewrite will literally just be with less boring bits in between, and a bit more consistency and flow hopefully. But I’m not writing that anytime soon, I still have the actual story (and another one) to write!

          Thanks for your support :)

Okay so I’m finally having to write the plot arc that I have been procrastinating planning for like a month and the notes I have are all either ‘plan this later’ or ‘improv idk’ with the occasional keysmash for good measure I’m so sorry oh god

I will write it don’t worry I just can’t guarantee a well planned and thought out adaptation of the arc with my OC :D

(This is a continuation of my last post)

I could go into loads of detail about the statistics of bullying, s**cide, harmful restraint, miseducation- any number of things which need to be addressed, but I’ll leave it at this for now. If you’ve read this far then please do some research if your own, about how you can help. And I do suggest following some autistic people and accounts on social media!

Thank you for reading, I hope this has been educational and useful! (apologies for any inaccuracies or wrong information, I did my best to use trustworthy and positive sources)

(This is a continuation of my last post)

Some difficulties autistic people may share:
-Social communication and social interaction challenges
          -Repetitive and restrictive behaviour
-Over- or under-sensitivity to light, sound, taste or touch
          -Highly focused interests or hobbies
          -Extreme anxiety
          -Meltdowns and shutdowns

          What can I do?

Aside from educating yourself, you can engage with autistic creators online, through social media, for example by following autistic people on Instagram.

Here are some other tips and advice for how you can be an ally:
-Don’t talk about autistic people (particularly non-speaking autistic people) while they’re right in front of you as if they aren’t there, and don’t infantilise them.
-Always use identity first language rather than person first language unless told otherwise (e.g. an autistic person rather than a person with autism), as that is what the majority of autistic people prefer, and never correct them. You have no say in how they identify. For information on identity first language, go to identityfirstautistic.org
-Don’t use the hashtag ActuallyAutistic unless you are autistic
-Show up for autistic people in your life, that means the ‘weird’ kids, the ones who talk loudly, the ones who sit alone at lunch.
-On that note, don’t shun or discourage autistic traits, like being ‘weird’, ‘awkward’, ‘socially unacceptable’ or for special interests or stimming.
-Dont just support speaking autistic people, support non-speaking people too, and never leave out POC, lgbtq+, or people with other disabilities either.
-Never support Autism Speaks, they are a hateful organisation which searches for a ‘cure’ for autism, and portray autism as something which will ‘ruin families’ (a complete lie, obviously)

All of these tips have come from one of the Instagram accounts I follow, @/the.autisticats . This isn’t in any way an exhaustive list, just a few things I picked out from their recent posts.
