Hi, I read the guidelines of wattpad for tomorrow and found it to be some reasonable changes for the better, and while I am a bit worried about my stories and whatnot, I have some hope that mine won't be affected. Also, in the guidelines, one of the most interesting points there made is that the age of consent is 16+ in wattpad, and other stuff like violations of hate groups, bullying and other stuff like that. Wanted to share my thoughts with you since you made me aware of this. Thanks

Well the false alarm part I only saw it being said by another reader. So I’m assuming it is a false alarm but just in case it’s probably best to at least have a backup for your stories. By tomorrow I think we’ll all know for sure if it truly was a false alarm or not since I’m basically only spreading the news to other writers so they can at least be aware and make the necessary changes to their stories. If you want confirmation from other readers or writers about this regarding the possible false alarm you can ask them.

@Explor0 ok, also I read online that there are writers who do have characters under 18 do sexual stuff but don't detail it or anything, just implied that they did. I'm sure some were caught due to not following that and got deleted. Anyway, I got to ask, was this whole you said that tomorrow a bunch of stories being deleted a false alarm after all or not?

I heard about the new guidelines and I was curious about something. Will stories fall victim to the guidelines, if the characters that will engage in sexual activities start at under 18, but then are aged up in a in story time skip?

Oh yeah one more thing if you are reading stories you like a lot then you may want to spread the news about the new guidelines to the authors in case they’re not aware yet so they can do some revision on their stories if need be to avoid deletion by Wattpad.

I’m not sure since I recently learned the news about the new guidelines from the author IsraelYabuki. I basically decided to spread this news to other authors who love to write stories so that they can at least have advanced warning ahead of time so that if they don’t want their stories deleted they can fix anything they need to and adhere to the guidelines. You can ask the Wattpad staff about this or maybe ask the opinion of authors who are familiar with how the Wattpad staff works regarding guidelines.
