The most frequent feedback I got in school was "peut mieux faire" ("Can do better" in French) in other words, the young man is lazy. It was probably meant to encourage me but it didn't work. I kept "peutmieuxfairing" until graduation from a top engineering school in France.

Having the luxury of choice at that time, I ended up working in the airline industry because I wanted to see the world, and it was great way to travel cheap... I took that opportunity to see as much as my wallet allowed. I got bored after a couple of years though and I wanted to do something else, somewhere else.
I was lucky enough to get myself into consulting to be involved with airlines around the world and also to have other people pay for my trips. I travelled beyond what my wallet could ever allow and to places I wouldn't have never gone on my own.

Accidentally I learned about the airline business, how they (don't) work and the environment they operate in including politics, corruption and a tendency to make bad decisions.
The industry is often in the spotlight but very few people understand it fully, so I thought I would share my knowledge with whoever wants to take the time to learn. I created online courses for academics and I am now writing a book.

My main inspiration for this work is Bernard Werber ("Empire of the ants" 1991), an academic who successfully merged fiction and science based writing.

I now work in Information Technology, so please forgive me if some of the writing is too nerdy ...
