Patrick O'Neill is originally from a small farm town that bordered the Pine Barrens of New Jersey. He was introduced to the wonders of aviation by his paternal grandfather. Through the EAA's Young Eagle's program, he first piloted an aircraft when he was just seven. When he was a teenager, he served in the Civil Air Patrol as an Air Force Cadet. At sixteen, he joined his local volunteer fire department, following his maternal grandfather's service. Patrick found his writing inspiration while a sophomore in high school after discovering the Ghost in the Shell franchise. Now, he continues with his writing ambitions and ideas. He can also be found at the Air Mobility Command Museum on Dover Air Force Base, Delaware, where he serves as a historian, writer, docent, and in-house reenactor. Some of his work is published in the museum.
He finds inspiration through music, film, and observing the world around him. Whether it's in an urban setting, lost in the wilderness, buried in an archive, behind a simulator, or in his own library, he strives to collect every detail for authenticity. Outside of writing, he enjoys working around aircraft, giving tours at museums, snowboarding, mountain biking, video games, having good scotch, and creating chaotic memories with his best friends.
