But I'm not hating on the original version, don't get me wrong. I just have a major beef with the strawhats in your version because I don't think of them as the same person as the original but a different one, that's why AU's existed.

Just because they're coincidentally on the "good side" that doesn't make them a good people.

            Luffy will do anything for the people who gave him their food. If that said person is having a problem with the government, he'll beat anyone up if he needs/wants to.
            
            Heck he'll even befriend anyone even if they're a serial killer or even if you did any heinous crimes that exist as long as you're nice to him or to the people he knows.
            
            
            Also he doesn't even care about anything that isn't related to his journey or adventures. As long as you don't mess with the people he knows your good to him. Doesn't that seem hypocrite to you? And the worst part of it is that he's not even aware of it.

Well from the general concept, isn’t it like both of your pinky’s are connected but you can’t see the end of the string  until your practically beside them. And if your try to follow the string to your partner you usually don’t end up anywhere cuz the string phases through shit and everything. I personally like the idea that everyone has more than one string, like one for friendship, lovers, parental figures…enemies. So I think it’d be really cool if let’s say everyone can only see their own strings of fate except for like I don’t know maybe special voodoo people. But anyway Y/n has only two strings both a shade of red, the shards are so similar they’re parasitically the same. So the rest of the story could progress to Y/n trying to find her fates lover and avoid her enemy without knowing which is which or they could both be her enemy and she has no lover or the opposite. You could honestly end up starting the story and depending how you feel later change their roles. Another thing I like about other types of fate strings is that the meaning of the string can change depending on your action, like at the start maybe they were your lover but because of some intervention or misunderstanding the fate string changed them to your enemy. All in all it’s such a loose concept that you can add or change things as you like and people will still connect it to the red string theory. I hope this helps
