Wattpad has thrown yet another curveball and with the loss of PMs, it does feel that our old platform is taking a rather drastic turn. But think of it as being caught in the middle of major changes that are rocking the boat rather than sinking it.
PMs were a good way to connect to people but a majority, especially women, on the platform were facing problems due to harassment by unwanted individuals. I faced a couple of nasty DMers myself and boy was that embarrassingly awful.
So, as the sun sinks down on some of the features of Wattpad, let us await the dawn that'll break after the midnight sundries of these changes mellow down.
To all of you who are still here, thank you. Wattpad has given me the best start an author can ask for and while there may be many things that need to be fixed on the platform, I hope we get to see them improve as we journey together.
