Hello to all my lovely Angels, I’m so sorry I’ve been radio silent for weeks now! Turns out I HUGELY underestimated how much work I had to do to get Soul Forge ready for its professional copy edit. 
          
          I just wanted to pop on to say Ascension will be continuing as soon as SF is away with my editor. I will get to writing and update as soon as I have 5 chapters ready to go for you all to read. The date I’m sending is May 12th so it’s just another couple of weeks before I upload the next few chapters.
          
          Thank you all of you for your patience, without you as readers, I would never be taking steps to publish my novel. You’re all so amazing 

Hi Angels! Just a post to say my projected release date for the published version of Soul Forge is September 20th!
          
          This means that, for anyone reading Ascension right now, over the next three weeks updates will slow down. This is because I have a very tight deadline for getting my developmental edits complete so I can get the manuscript to my beta readers.
          
          Ascension will continue to the bitter end, and I will update whenever I am able! Thank you for your patience, support and understanding!

          Ascension - Chapter Twelve...
          
          The night remained calm and quiet. The others began to relax, but the tingle of fear down Elda's spine kept her still.
          
          A shift beneath her feet, a vibration, and she was leaping, slamming into Arden and shoving him aside. Vel's darkness whipped Gira out of harm's way and dragged Abraxos' cage towards him a second before the ground erupted.
          
          Teeth, long and glistening, snapped shut where they'd been standing. Oily black skin reflected the moonlight, its pale glow swallowed by equally dark eyes.
          
          Aeon's newest creature roared and charged at them.

A day late but two new chapters of Ascension have been released as promised!

The forced break due to illness has really thrown off my groove, so there will be no update today. I will put a minimum of two chapters of Ascension up tomorrow (more if I get my mojo back) so watch this space!

The next update to Ascension will be delayed as I am currently suffering from gastroenteritis. I will get back to updating as soon as I feel better!

          Elda let her light build, shining out of her skin as she approached the gates. Once again, she had a contingent of soldiers at her back and the Soul Forge by her side.
          
          Sypher retreated, and Veloran Blackweaver raised his head. His shadows swarmed, rising up to frame her in darkness. His sword, with its black blade and ornate hilt, gleamed in his hand. Feathered wings stretched wide, the formidable scaled armour soaking up the sun until he was night personified.
          
          "You are the crown, I am your blade," he said softly. "Show them who we are.

          Hephaestus moved forwards a little. “If you let me show you-”
          
          “Don’t take another step,” Sypher warned, freezing him in place with a sword at his throat. “I may not be able to kill you yet, but I will happily make you bleed.”
          
          “I’m trying to help you.”
          
          “Your help killed Elda’s parents. Your help forced her to watch me die, and my corpse destroy her life.” The deadly tip of his sword didn’t waver. “You deserve to burn right alongside Aeon for what you did to us.”
          
          "That may be so," Hephaestus nodded. "But you need me."
          
          "Why the f@ck else do you think I'd leave you alive?"
          
          "Please listen to me."
          
          "You crushed my wife," Sypher spat. "The next time you try to give me your advice, I will cut out your tongue."
