I purposefully avoided watching Hazbin Hotel for the longest time and now after watching it I understand the hype.

Health update: got the first cast off, stitches taken out. Everything apparently looked good but getting the stitches out sucked cause my doctor is an idiot and kept having to dig in my skin- like wtf???? Got the second cast put on after which she also fucked up because she doesn’t give a shit and I’m very pissed about it. Turned 22 a few days ago and fell on my cast the day after.

           For anyone constantly asking me to update, I should not be in pain right now and the doctor isn’t sure why I am but won’t do anything because she sucks and ‘everything looks good on the outside’, not even an x-ray. My foot was held up in the first cast and now it’s been changed to down which took a few days to get used too, I have to have this one on until around May. 14/15 so, ;-;

@Ghosstwriterss Hugs! Just to keep the brace nice and tight and keep it clean. Also elevate as much as you can. You will get through it. My hugs and prayers are with you for a speedy recovery.

For anyone who has had stitches underneath a cast, how do I tell if I ripped a stitch underneath the cast without getting the cast taken off…?

borahaehoe

@Ghosstwriterss oh lord I only remember having an itch so bad I had to put a hanger in my leg casts but ripping? I really hope that’s not your case

@Ghosstwriterss pray (I can’t really remember bc I was out my mind nearly the whole time I had my cast but I do remember getting a knitting needle stuck down it whilst trying to scratch an itch)

First surgery in 13 days on my right foot, after it heals, surgery on my left foot. If everything goes perfectly, then I’ll be back to work by the end of the year, if not, I’ll have to go through another surgery on both feet before having a chance to go back to work.

Honestly though, I’ve been asking my doctor since I was 18 for help on this issue, and we only contacted the hospital doing this surgery in January, and I’ve already gone up there for a consult and have a surgery booked in April which is insanely fast??? Turns out the reason why my doctor never suggested this hospital is because she doesn’t like them and wanted to send me to a different one in a city a whole ass plane ride away which I’ve been on the waitlist since I was 20.

I’m 21, turning 22 in April, and if everything goes as planned, I’ll probably spend my birthday getting stitches out of my foot before starting physio.

Not an update/ just a vent. Feel free to ignore this :)

A family member grabbed my chest when we were goofing off a few days ago and like- squeezed? And I keep replaying the moment and it made me super uncomfortable. I immediately stomped on their foot which made them mad and annoyed at me but I haven’t said anything about ‘why’ I immediately stomped on their foot- like. This is a family member who is starting to get very old and forgetful but it just creeps me out and makes me uncomfortable with things that they’re doing, but I feel like I can’t say anything because I don’t think they’re doing it intentionally.. I dunno man.

Ghosstwriterss

Not to mention the amount of sexist and creepy comments. Like, I’ll tell them not to touch my leg or shoulder and the immediate response is ‘I’ll do what I want’ or ‘I’m your (family relationship)’

Hey author-nimm I usually don't comment but I'm feeling spicy today and have energy too sooooo, I was wondering since this is the first time I've seen your reading lists and the books you read. How did you like the ending to next door neighbors ??? And what ending did you really want to happen at the end of the story.

Bts_lover1228

@Ghosstwriterss me too, I had read another book of hers and it made me cry like A LOT and the author had said that she isn't into happy endings so I might or might not have commented on the people who all agreed that we should have a happy ending but she had said she wanted a different ending anyway and was willing to make a happy ending this time

I loved the story but it definitely made me sob at points, I loved the ending but I usually tend to stick with very fluffy cliche stories with little angst since I’m a baby lmao- but the author for Next Door To Them is amazing! (:

I don’t know what you have tried for the chronic pain so this might sound patronizing. chiropractor, physiotherapist, yoga, Pilates, food diary, allergy testing? Is the leg pain the back of the legs, only the front, the whole legs? I am 37 and have an MRI test result confirming Arthritis in my Lumbar L4/L5 area but the physiotherapist said the pain in my legs that I described to her is from the nerves in the L1 area and the only way to help with my arthritis is stretching and strengthening my core and back muscles to stabilize my spine. Another question is have you tried either orthotics inserts for arch support in your shoes, foot strengthening exercises (like they recommended for ladies that wear high heels all day but need to wear flats on weekends to not damage their Achilles tendons)? Are you still able to do a 10 minute walk once a day? That was recommended for me. Plus 1200mg/day calcium with vitamin D (two tablets a day). Alder and Birch pollen allergies are common and can expand into cross allergens with other foods. A naturopathic medicine practitioner suggested I stay away from the nightshade family as they aggravate pain receptors. The fruits and vegetables in the nightshade family include potatoes and tomatoes which are also cross allergens of alder and birch pollen. I cut the nightshade foods out and that helped with my pain and inflammation.

          I hope this helps.

Hey! I actually have a diagnosis for the pain in my legs/feet. But with that being said, I definitely would try physiotherapy, yoga, or Pilates more but I live in a very small town that doesn’t have things like that offered to most people. But I definitely will try the advice with the food and such depending on how my appointment goes the 15th.

Thank you for the advice though (:
