Teaser for a new story:
Coy walked through the lone halls of his school with a face glowing with beauty and happiness. He had finally found the paradise he dreamed of for so long. There was no one here to give him disgusted looks. He was finally alone with his band of boys. He quickly fixed his hair passing by a window.
There was no one behind that window, though. And no one reflected with him.
Coy turned and discovered that his friends were gone. The three boys that would forever stay by his side had finally gotten sick of his nagging over them looking proper and ditched him in these cold, deserted halls of the school Coy hated so much. Coy sank to the ground and pulled his knees up to his chest, his shoulders shaking with sobs. His paradise was so easily shattered, which left the question: Was it ever euphoria to begin with, or a fantasy that Coy only lived in inside his own head?
His thoughts were broken by a groan from down the hall. It sounded pained.
Coy's sobs stopped in an instant and he stood, walking that way. The more steps he took, the dizzier he got and the more disoriented he became. Finally, with one last scream, Coy passed out. The last thing he saw was a blurry figure, knife in hand.
