So, hi ! :)
I just "finished" The Society and I really love the story ! It's really beautiful, and cute, and intriguing, and interesting, ...
At first, when I saw the cover I was like "It seems like a cliché story with a poor story plot. The girl's going to be forced to marry some guy and then they're going to fall in love. Blablabla ... I'm not going to like it.". I'm sorry I was quite pessimistic. ^^"
And then I read the synopsis. I was actually drawn to it, which is a huge thing since I'm not a fan - at all - of dystopia (Divergent - the movies at least - for example). And somehow because it was about educating girls/women into becoming someone fit for some rich men, I began reading it. It made me think of Brave New World - which I haven't read, but would really like to.
I love Hale and Ella's relationship, I ship them so muuuch ! *-*
Usually, in these "kind of stories", the guy is completely full of himself or he's a d*ck to the girl and then he falls in love with her but here, not at all. Hale is a real - HOT - decent guy with great principles and beliefs despite his family's mindset.
When Ella woke up in Hale's guestroom I thought she was going to be aggressive toward Hale because he Selected her but - again - not at all. When he explained to her the situation, she was really decent and polite and not rude which I thought she would be (Well, it would be understandable. She was sedated and Selected against her will ...).
So, yeah. I got a bit carried away ... Thanks ! I can't wait for the next chapters. :)
