I had my first ever panic attack on a plane on the way back from Florida.
I was sick, crammed in a corner (the window seat) against my will (because I was forced to give the other seat to my brother because he whined enough), and I generally just got way too overwhelmed with everything going on. At that point in time I would have generally given my LIFE to get off that damn plane.
But what threw me over the edge was when I was having the panic attack my mom was YELLING at me. I’m trying to get someone to hold my hand (since I’ve heard that helps and I’ve literally NEVER had this happen to me before) and she’s yelling at me to “stop being a fucking brat” and “stop crying”
And my dad?
He wasn’t any fucking better! He’s watching a movie and as soon as my mom taps him on the shoulder, he gets pissed off because he has to pause his MOTHERFUCKING MOVIE THAT HE’S ALREADY SEEN.
Like, what the actual fuck?
And when we got off the plane and back home my parents started yelling at me again.
