Hi! This is a post I've been meaning to do in the past month but couldn't find the motivation to. You may have noticed that I have unpublished my Spongebob x Squidward fanfic.
The content no longer felt right to me (e.g. rape) and although it is fictional, I didn't feel comfortable leaving it up. This reflection came about after I read a KevEdd fanfic (lemme know if you wanna read it too heh) in which their relationship was displayed to be safe and consensual, especially in the NSFW scenes (and even in scenes where Double D and Kevin are in conflict with each other - I like how their character development is portrayed). If the writer can portray such a healthy relationship for a fictional couple, I am sure I can too. Plus, the plot in my own fanfic was very repetitive and I know I am capable of a much better storyline than just truth or dare over and over again.
The story is not deleted. It is just unpublished. I have plans on rewriting it but when that will be, I do not know.
With that being said, thank you so much for your support thus far. You must know how elated I was when I first wrote the fanfic at 14/15 years old and having it gain a lot of love from y'all <3 It is still heartwarming seeing new comments and votes up until I unpublished it, but my present self feels that this is for the better.
