I love the weird and lyrical, but am still fond of a ripping epic fantasy. And give me some Southern Gothic in words and music as well. Favourite authors (and dare I say influences) include Glen Cook, Ursula LeGuin, Flannery O'Connor, William Gay, China Mieville, J.M. McDermott, Helen Oyeyemi, Felix Gilman, and Patricia McKillip.
