@-huitopias Hi, sorry, I was just looking at this account and saw this and I knew I had to put my own two cents with facts even though I may be extremely late to get involved in the conversation: BLM is NOT a toxic movement. Although I am not black— I am Mexican— I know exactly how it feels to be a minority in a country that puts down people of color and praise those with lighter complexions. We as POC are fed up with the fact that we are unheard; we have tried emailing/contacting officials to put laws and policies in place to prevent racial discrimination, signed petitions long before the whole Black Lives Matter movement had a dominant voice in society, and we have tried educating white people to acknowledge their privileges and put a stop to racism in this God forsaken country. We have tried EVERYTHING to be heard and the death of George Floyd was simply the tip of the iceberg for the patience we’ve had for dealing with racism so we took it to the streets, protesting. It started off as peaceful protesting but overtime it has gone to rioting but what you don’t see that the key reason as to why riots happen is because people who are anti-BLM provoked it. That “BLM protest” that burned bibles has been proven to be false news for MONTHS; Russian officials staged it to appear as BLM protestors to change Dem’s votes to go to Trump. Please do more research on the topic because that’s exactly what causes misunderstandings.

@-huitopias Some people would say BLM is toxic because they aren't used to black people being tired of being unheared and when black people try to speak up about everything that is wrong with America they are unheared, so now were finding new way to be heard such as rioting, not everything being done is good, but it's getting us heard for the first time in centruies, People are used to seeing white people standing by black people, so they call it toxic
