 #ImperfectlyBeautiful was started to celebrate the 'imperfections'. Those the society has labelled unfit. Which over the years has plagued us. Fat hands, squint eyes, freckled face, too curvy, flat chested, frizzy hair, spectacles, braces, skin disorders, sicknesses, skin color, disabilities. Most of these issues are shied away from being mentioned in books. We rarely see characters who have any of the above. And if they do, often mocked or ridiculed for it. We have been so focused on what the society has deemed as perfection, that we forget, pretend and hide who we really are.
These imperfections are nothing more than differences. Differences that make us, US. The imperfections that make you beautiful. That make you, YOU.
