What does it mean to be a writer? Being a writer means 11 things.
1. Dancing around at midnight to your book's playlist rather imagining the scenario instead of actually writing it.
2. Then, sitting down to actually write but forget all the ideas you had.
3. Feeling proud of what you are writing just to freeze up when someone asks what it is about.
4. Being unmotivated to write for days sometimes but then get a random burst of writing for hours on end.
5. Shipping characters, crying over deaths, reading favorite fan fictions, theorizing, and pretending to live in their worlds.
6. Praying your FBI agent knows you're a writer and not a psychopath when they see your search history.
7. Crying over thinking your work is bad and crumbling it up just to find out you needed it later. 8. Files upon files upon files of unfinished writing pieces.
9. Laughing over the ridiculous little stories your younger self wrote and thought was good.
10. Sometimes coming off as boasting about your work when you're actually proud because you've been working very hard.
11. Writing because it's something you're passionate about and want to share your ideas with the world.
Writing is not always easy, but once you finish a piece, it's a work of art.
