The moment you set foot into the cottage, you were immediately assaulted by the warm air closing in on you; in vast contrast of the freezing storm outside. Had you accidentally broken into somebody's home? You had originally thought the place was abandoned, with the moss and vines growing all over the weather-beaten exterior. But it can't possibly be abandoned with a working heating system, right? Your logical mind told you to leave, you shouldn't risk the possibility of being caught like this; but the idiotic brain pest in you told you to stay in the warmth of the cottage rather than the pouring rain.

Screw it, you were freezing cold and this place is dead quiet except the pitter-patter of the storm against the windows.

You settled in what seemed like a small work office. After a few moments of just stare at your surroundings, you started looking through the drawers of a work desk. A particular worn and dust-coated stack of papers stood out to you. The following seems to be a letter.

>I miss you. I haven't received your usual letter yet, are you alright? I feel so hungry and tired, but there is little I can do for my situation... I feel myself getting sicker. 

The rest of the letter was too smudged for you to make out. You felt like Goldilocks, the guilt of looking through a stranger's stuff were sinking in. But you were too invested in the story of this person. You continued flipping through the papers until you found another page that caught your interest.
