TOUCHED begins in an open grave, because that is what Renee’s world is turning into.  Only a few generations in the future, tech and social evolution have demanded the criminalization of all skin to skin contact, but it was too late. A genetic mutation has turned humanity into walking time bombs with no off switch. It’s one of many reasons Renee lives in the shadows, helping those she can, hoping they don’t notice what she steals from them to ease her own suffering.

When a bus crash catapults Eric into her life, Renee thinks he is a ghost from her past.  Suddenly she is breaking her rules, and taking insane risks in an attempt to save the remaining survivors.  Can she trust Eric before her demons catch up to her? And what will he do when they stumble on a cure so unthinkable, most people would rather die than risk it?
