John Morrison (JS Morrison) is a member of the Black Writers' Collective and the Maryland Writers' Association. He authored "The Perfection of Fish" in 2020 (adult speculative fiction, Black Rose Writing). "The Pieces of My Self" is his current work in progress.
He was born in St. Louis in 1947, studied psychology at Washington University, and systems engineering at the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School.
He served in the U.S. Air Force as an intelligence officer.
Later, he founded an IT consulting company, wrote screenplays that were optioned by a film production company, and was the sole author of a refereed IEEE paper on cryptography. His name is on several patents for cybersecurity.
He lives outside Annapolis, Maryland with his wife of 50 years, Patricia.
