Question for yall: how many of you guys use a read aloud feature like on Word or what-not, and make sure your writing sound right?

JackWmiller

@Watts_Writes hahaha I seem to not be able to. I tend to get those blinders on if I read aloud

I do sometimes but that’s usually for work. For personal writing I just tend to read it aloud to myself.

When your 1967 character words into a chapter and discover you don't like how it's written, so you delete 3/4 of it.....love it/hate it.

@Raven_DarkHeart right! At times, I feel like you have to throw up your thoughts, and then you know who, what, when, where, and why.

@JackWmiller Like I have deleted SOOOO many chapters just to rewrite them.. but in the long run they do turn out better than the original

@JackWmiller I hate it when that happens

Good evening, yall! Question for you: Can you describe your writing space?

For me, it's a dark room with my desk lamp on head phones in with background noise and no one allowed in.

@JackWmiller I understand you Sir. Whenever someone interrupts you, you lose concentration and focus. I really hate that.

@LMNTrix117 I understand completely. I tend to do most of my writing at night when my kiddos are down but my wife occasionally interrupts me right as I am in the middle of a scene.

@JackWmiller But I find it frustrating when I'm interrupted while writing, a situation that occurs frequently with my parents.
