So Zac and Fatima had their first therapy session, and as mad as he was with her he didn’t point fingers AT HER. In fact he leaned in with the fact that they got married with no counseling and strolled through memory lane recollecting of where he saw reasons of how they got where they are now.
Both pastors also discerned that they both feel like they don’t deserve each other- why? As much as these two love each other… why do they feel like they don’t deserve each other? Let’s dig deep today….

@Jas_Please I believe Zac still has a ways to heal that little boy in him. He life is nothing like he grew up. Broken…traumatized. Fatima is his one great thing that’s his. That he cherishes bc it’s a love that she can only give him. I think he always felt like he didn’t deserve it from her bc of the things he’s done & who his mother was. Fatima on the other hand…doesn’t know what her real value is bc he father snatched that from her. She attests to being needed rather than standing in her true power of who she is. Her strength is in her vulnerability which is what she’s running away from. Being strong is the only thing she feels she has control over. They grew up in different worlds

Now Fatima is use to being a fixer and not the one making the mistakes or poor decisions. She doesn’t know how to seat in that nor does she know how to handle Zac holding her accountable for it or even holding herself accountable . On top of not knowing how top cope all the loses she has had plus still being a good mom and wife. She doesn’t know how to lean on her husband but expects for him to forever lean on her and she carries his load. But that’s not the case anymore.

I believe Zac still holds the fact that every other woman in his life didn’t care about him unless he was doing what they wanted/ when they wanted him to do it, and they did something for him it always came with a motive or the wanted something in return.Fatima helped and accepted him w/o beaten his spirit down while wanting nothing but love and respect. So because he still holds on to those feelings he feels like he has to give her what she wants in order to keep her. Almost like he feels like he forever owes her. While also trying to figure how someone he saw as perfect could make such a poor decision.

I enjoyed writing this chapter A LOT because it was Fatima’s turn to sit in her chair and face herself and she couldn’t run from it

The way I write tho, I literally see it while I write it.

The fact that Encouragement came from Andi was beautiful to me.

ANDI is someone who is normally selfish- she gave Fatima some wisdom from God, healing, and That was my favorite part. Me being a hugger I had to add that in LOL

Fatima being Zac’s headache and her cure is just… and I LOVE writing it.
Him being in turmoil right now but needing to find peace in HER by looking at her video of her singing and her smile. Mannn say! Loved it!

Bella is always going to be a character I love to write about because she’s original and because the way she loves The Taylor’s is unmatched.

Aight… let’s chat.

Zac has A LOT to process. And in processing it, he still is a man. He’s still attracted to his wife, he still feels her, still loves her, still can hear her thoughts, etc.

Fatima tried it didn’t she LOL- what we saw is her KNOWING she messed up, we saw accountability in her thoughts as well because she knows she needs individual therapy but she also isn’t all the way ready to face her thoughts either- hence her starting a fight and wanting to get tamed

Zac ain’t gon disrespect Fatima however he is gonna tell her when she’s wrong. She’s not used to Zac being angry with her. We are definitely going to see more call outs from them both and more arguments from them.

I def wanted to show you can still love your spouse, still poundtown em and be mad Zac ain’t no where near over it.

Ms Tammy’s growth is beautiful too.

@Jas_Please that’s true if it was him,he wouldn’t be there and had he still been stuck in his old ways he would have ask her to leave.

@troyia__ yeah! Fatima gotta sit in it for a while. If roles were reversed- Zac wouldn’t even be in the home right now

Lots to unpack

Zac caught his wife coming of a restaurant with Ian.
Fatima wasn’t wearing her rings, she had lied to Zac about where she was going and who was going to be with and Zac overheard Ian saying “stop acting like you don’t feel for me like I feel for you “

Fatima wrong. Ain’t no way around it or justifying it.

Zac scanned the scene, and his presence alone spooked Ian. One reason Zac was quiet because he was listening… discerning. He discerning RIGHT that Ian was a liar and caught him in two.

Zac respected Fatima enough not to embarrass her, and read her when they got home. The way he knows her is UNMATCHED.

Him praying and her connecting to it gives hope that they will be okay it’s just gonna take some work.

Tammy’s discernment and her growth is my favorite to pen as well. Their relationship is beautiful.

Love to see the next chapter! Zac and Fatima should have a raw conversation, all questions and feelings about unpacking any issues should be revealed!

Yeah I loved all of this. I read this chapter 3x cause Ian was definitely lying, and Fatima was surely caught up (but why???) and Zac is hurt as he should be. And Ms Tammy is the goat!
