But first, a little information on the upcoming story! I briefly introduced the idea of this story a while back, but a lot has changed with it since then! This story will be called "Silence." It's a little shorter than some of my recent stories, clocking out at a forecasted 25 chapters.
This story follows Luigi as he journeys through the Underwhere on a mission given to him by Nolrem. A long time ago, I wanted to rewrite one of my older stories, "Fallen Down," so instead of doing a rewrite I decided to just take some inspiration from it and put it into this story. I was also briefly inspired by the game "One Shot" and the movie "Silence of the Lambs."
On his journey through the Underwhere, Luigi enlists the help of Bobby the Bob-Omb and finds himself meeting old friends. All is going well in his mission, however, everything changes when he runs into someone wearing Dimentio's mask. (Yes, there is Dimigi involved in this story.) He asks questions, but this masked man refuses to speak to him. Luigi can't tell who this person even is, all he knows is that the mask man seems afraid of something. Or, maybe someone.
Meanwhile, the story also takes place in the past, centering around a young boy named Shylo. Shylo is a member of a secret group that is neither the Tribe of Ancients nor the Tribe of Darkness. The young boy often has questions he wants to ask, but seeing as his tribe values silence, he stays quiet. All goes well as he prepares for his silencing ceremony, a tradition that has lasted centuries in his tribe. Or, all goes well until he meets someone special who is brave enough to speak out and question authority.
