Joseph Pavlansky

Hello everyone.  My name is Joseph "Joe" Pavlansky and I was born and raised in Campbell, Ohio and still proudly call the city my home.  I'm a 1998 alumnus of Memorial High and left for the Army soon after graduation where I spent three years on active duty and another six in the Ohio Army National Guard. 
 
After completing the Peace Officer's Academy at Youngstown State University in 2003, I entered law enforcement and am currently a Detective/Sergeant at a small police department in Northeast Ohio.  In 2015 I graduated summa cum laude from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelor of Arts in History.  
I've been fortunate enough to release two books, Images of America Campbell and Images of America Forest County through Arcadia Publishing, to which the latter book I co-authored.  I've also had several articles published in The Hometown Journal, a local newspaper in Mahoning County, Ohio, and am a contributory writer for the award-winning magazine Scary Monsters.

In my free time I enjoy reading, writing, collecting comics and toys, camping, hiking, kayaking, playing video games, playing Dungeons & Dragons, smoking cigars, and hanging out with my wife and our dogs.
