          I know it's been a long time since I posted anything. I'm sorry about that. Writing turned into a miserable thing to do, and it took me a while to realize why. The past few years were a slow spiral of scrubbing out the weird shit in my writing to make my stories more normal or commercial. Moving away from my heavy prose style, holding back on ideas that might've been too raw or different, and not really adding anything personal on an emotional level. It all felt bad and didn't even work, lol.
          
          So, now I'm trying to come back from that. That means more of The Black Wolf, and rewriting the rough draft for Gretchen and Shane side story. I'm also 50K words into a Beauty and Beast retelling that's feeling really good to write. Hopefully I'll get back into steady updates, especially compared to 2023. 
          
          Also, I've heard things about some erotic stories (or accounts?) being deleted without warning by Wattpad's new AI. I don't know what's going on, but if I'm ever wiped off this site, you can find me on Inkitt under the same username (JulieMidnight).

Hello, and Happy New Year! I hope 2024 is starting out well for you; do you have any New Year's resolutions? I spent a lot of 2023 on finishing up old drafts or half-written stories, so for 2024 I want to go back to The Black Wolf and Veiled Secrets. I've gotten messages about both stories and wanted to say thanks for reaching out. ❤️ I'll also be working on Gretchen's side novel for Monstrous Hearts and a few other stories I wrote drafts for last year.
