Good afternoon all!

As most of you know already, I'm working on completing my novel and hoping to publish it soon. In the meantime, I thought I should inform you all that I'm beginning to post on Kindle Vella.

If you guys would like to check out The Mad Prince and the Little Bird, please do! That is where I will be posting stories moving forward. It has a higher chance of me being paid for what I create! I hope you all understand.

Sooooooo, I took a long break from Wattpad.

I was waitlisted at my top choice university and accepted to another school with full tuition and a stipend... and I turned it down. I have been doing a lot of thinking: What does a master's degree in Creative Writing actually means to me. I read samples of current MFA students, and I don't think my writing, for the most part, aligns with the goals of many programs. I am not a literary writer, I am a weird, young adult/new adult writer who likes combining feminism and supernatural and fantasy and romance and campy themes together. I want to explore writing, but I want to come back to the fantasy/science fiction genre. Those are the books that mean the most to me and what make me giddy with happiness.

And one other (BIG) thing stuck out to me — if I go to a grad program, I'm putting my publishing life on hold for another two to three years, and quite frankly, I don't want to do that. I want to begin publishing. I want to take those steps forward now.

So, what I have been doing in the months of my silence is developing a new book, one with themes I've never explored, and I've set a goal for myself. The first draft will be finished by August.

Let's see if we can do it, folks.

After that-- we edit, and we query, and we manifest!

Thinking of those who are citizens of Ukraine, as well as those with loved ones who may be from the area. Stay safe everyone. And for those who are unaware of what is going on, please just check by the hour on updates. There is some incredible moments and feats of bravery happening in Ukraine, by the women, men and children of the country. And also, the brave Russians who gathered for peace in St. Petersburg and protested the war on Ukraine, you won’t be forgotten. While this is one of the scariest moments in modern world history, it’s beautiful to know there is still human compassion, empathy, and love to look to.

Glory to Ukraine, and Russian Warship, go f*ck yourself.
