I was always skeptical about picking up a retro romance, especially being Indian, where you can almost predict the vibe of teenage life through family and friends. So, I didn’t expect much in terms of thrill or romance. But wow, this book completely changed my perspective! ✨

I loved it. Period. It’s such an easy, light, and soft romance—executed so beautifully. This might be my first Wattpad review, and it’s only because I’m THAT happy with it. I finished it in one day—yes, you heard that right, one day! The storyline was swoon-worthy, and the characters, Amarnath and Gauri, totally stole my heart. Where can I find a guy like Amarnath? And how can I be as relatable and strong as Gauri?

The story felt so personal and raw, capturing the love story alongside the changing times in India. Every chapter was well-crafted, with little touches like newspaper excerpts and those nostalgic old songs. And don’t even get me started on the epilogue—it’s a tear-jerker. This happy ending deserves to be in paperback and on every reader’s shelf.

Next time time I visit Mumbai, I'll remember Amarnath-Gauri and our Murali ✨

Kudos to Sahana for introducing me to such a beautiful story. Thank you!

Bombay romance
This book is one of the best I have read in a while. The characters completely enchants you, the plot makes you curious and for binge readers like me this is the perfect book.
          The imagery.
Every time you described a scene, I could imagine myself there. At Fiona's wedding admist green grass and fairy light. At their first date. The club that gauri frequented. Infact the scene about the attack on murali- I imagined myself walking alongside him towards the gate, seeing him remove his revolver and seeing him getting shot while others ran away. The Shivaji Maharaj symbolism, The sequence at Gateway of India, the court trial. Everything. It felt as if I'm present in that time, watching with my own eyes their love story unfold.

Plus their professions 'hearts'. I absolutely love action and crime solving and Gauri's persona omg.

          This deserves to be published.
          Amazing book and amazing writing

Good Evening, I just finished reading your book - Bombay Romance and I LOVE it to pieces! This book feels like a breath of fresh air amongst all other genre books....something unique...something out of the box....something too good to be true. How you have told the intricacies of 1985 Bombay is so awesome....all those references to actors, letters, trunk calls, the places in Bombay etc are so lovely. I would like the especially thank you for mentioning the songs in between the chapters...one of my favourite scenes from the book is when after the fight Amarnath sings 'Chukhe mere man ko, kiya tune kya ishara'. So sweet! You perfectly balanced the multi-couple trope, I equally love Murali and Rukmani as much as I love Amarnath and Gauri. Hoping to read more books written by you in the future.
Thank you author for creating such a masterpiece.
          Yours,
          Loi
