Can anyone explain why a large number of profiles have become community based rather than run by ambassadors?
And what does everyone think of this?

Unless I get some last minute inspiration. I won't be entering the ONC this year. It's been a tough month and inspiration has been hard to come by. I really wanted to but it hasn't happened again and I have to be realistic.
I'm hoping to publish something this year, either for a just write it challenge or another competition. I doubt I'll have anything that'll qualify for the wattys, I haven't written for a while!

Yup, somehow I don't think I'll be entering the wattys this year, I Haven't written anything this year!
Closest I got to entering was in 2020 with the Muse and the vampire but they changed the rules to novels only. The requirements seem to get stricter every year.

@Kit-the-obscure Yes, of course, which is why I thought I'd offer. I was diagnosed as an adult too. Sorry if I overstepped. Oh, we had to do that last year as well. And many, many other things that were very time consuming, lol! I'm glad I did them, though. Definitely paid off.

@MarCafeWrites I am also autistic so I kind of know what to expect with my daughter. Yes, you have to write a synopsis and a logline this year.

Sorry I won't be doing ONC this year.
I had a prompt in mind and an idea but since then my daughter got diagnosed with ASD and we're struggling with this news. My brain has turned to absolute mush.

@Nyhterides I have the condition too so I know what's she in for. Hopefully an early diagnosis will help. I was 37 with a four month old baby when I got mine.

Congratulations to everyone who made the third round of ONC.
I started my entry and got past round one but was unable to continue. I think the subject matter was a little too close to home (I'm currently having bereavement counselling and my entry featured a widow). I have shelved my story indefinitely. I still don't know why I had the energy to write two novellas while grieving but finally ran out of steam this year!
Best wishes to those finishing their novella, whether they made the third round or not.

It seems that the ONC have removed the rules chapter in light of the response from people.
Result? Hmmm... We'll see (*not holding breath*)
