Hi Lauryn,
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for writing Assisting Miss Adams. I read it years ago and recently revisited it, and I’m still blown away by the emotion, character depth, and honesty you poured into this story.
From the New Year’s Eve kiss to the gut-wrenching breakup scene before Sam’s test, every moment felt so real and beautifully written. It wasn’t just a story-it was an experience. To me, this is one of the best LGBTQ+ stories on Wattpad.
I truly believe Assisting Miss Adams deserves a film or streaming series adaptation. The emotional tension, the teacher-student dynamic, the representation-it has everything that would connect with a global audience. Megan Adams is such a strong and layered character, and Sam’s journey from pain to love is inspiring and raw. It has the potential to be the next big sapphic coming-of-age romance.
If you ever consider working with Wattpad Studios, Netflix, or an indie LGBTQ+ film company, please know there are readers like me who would be first in line to support it. I even imagined Megan Fox as Miss Adams (how perfect is that?!), and casting someone real and relatable for Sam could really bring their story to life.
Thanks for sharing your talent with us, and I hope we see Sam and Megan on the screen someday. Until then, your book lives rent-free in my heart.
With so much appreciation,
Your no. 1 Fan
