@LORAINEJD Sunset. And not just because I'm a night owl. ;)

I used to live on a farm in Nebraska, and we had a fantastic, unobstructed view of the western horizon. Sunsets were amazing. Even as a kid who couldn't sit still, I loved sitting on the patio and watching all the colors light up the sky. It was beautiful.

@LORAINEJD Hi! Thanks for sharing, been trying to learn how to do graphics on my own for years, while everyone says its easy. But those people don't know how to tell directions clearly. You can't be a teacher, if you don't know how to tell someone how to do a certain procedure step by step.

Hello, everyone! If you are looking for an aesthetic cover for your book, as well as banners, you can check out this graphics shop from my friend Layla, also known as @pastelskies15 .

As you can see, most of my book covers are made by her, so if you want samples, you can just look at my books. There are a lot of other more amazing samples of her graphics on the shop itself.

What are you waiting for? The batch is now opened, and slots are filling up fast! Hurry up if you don't want to miss the opportunity ♡♡

Question of the day:

          Movie or book?

katiegoesmew

@LORAINEJD Book. The movies are never as good as the book, but I still enjoy them, because I've just come to view them as "based on" the book, but not "the book," if that makes sense. I actually write with the movie in mind. This is partly from the way I usually get story ideas. I tell myself stories while I'm trying to get to sleep in an effort to influence my lucid dreams, which play out like movies in my head. If I don't like something, I rewind, change a detail, and hit play again. It's weird, I know. Then, when it comes to actually writing the story, I try to put in as much detail as possible so there's as little room as possible for it to be misinterpreted if it ever becomes a movie. Not that that's likely to happen, since I haven't even published anything yet. ;)

@@LORAINEJD Great question about movie adaptations of beloved books. I'll mention that while some movies like Thomas Harris's Red Dragon stick closely to the book, others like The Hobbit movie miss out on important details that were crucial in the book. However, movies like Little Women stay true to the book and are similar in essence. The Green Mile movie is another example of a movie that captures the breathtaking essence of the book. It's wonderful to see that some movies are created as carbon copies of their authors' words and manage to capture the essence of the book. Such adaptations offer the audience a chance to relive the magic of the book on the big screen.

@Glory_feeling2 Oh, that's a very interesting fact right there! I agree with that. They really put additional stuff that diverts the story from the original plot.

@LORAINEJD Neither. Both are good, but my favorite is Strawberry. Unless you can count Mint Chocolate, that's another great flavor.

@LORAINEJD It really is. I envy everybody who makes the world-building look so easy. Maybe I should look into collaborating with someone who can do the world-building for me. XD
