ABUSE TW:
          	I have an important question
I had an INSANE dream last night that I want to turn into a story, but there’s one vital piece of information that I need for the story to be somewhat realistic.

The main character, Jonathon, was manipulated by his older twin brother, Thomas, into murdering their parents when they were teenagers (15) and continued to use physical and mental abuse to manipulate and control him until John was completely dependent on Tom, who used this control over John to get his dirty work done. John listened to everything that Tom told him to do and looked up to and loved him despite everything he did. Despite the abuse beginning when they were around 13, John acted very childlike and was innocent-minded, and never wanted to hurt anyone but Thomas always told him something bad would happen if Johnathon stopped listening to him, like Tom “going away” and leaving John alone in their abandoned home. John was also “trained” to accept physical pain as punishments for making mistakes.

Is there a specific name for this kind of abuse? If so what is it so I can look into it? If not, what information should I look up about abuse in order to write it better? I feel like John’s feelings towards his brother may be some sort of Stockholm syndrome but I’m not sure
