I have a very important announcement to make concerning the stories I have on Wattpad, and pretty much just my Wattpad account in general. Please read it through to the end.
I use both AO3 and Wattpad, though you probably know this by now.
AO3 is certainly much better than Wattpad. There are few things Wattpad does better than AO3. And while the two are very different platforms, they can still be compared, and AO3 certainly suits me a lot better than Wattpad does. I mean it. A LOT better. INFINITELY better.
I could go into a huge long explanation on why that is (more grown up audience, specifically for fanfiction, you can actually find what you're looking for, etc, etc, etc) but I won't do that now (mainly because of the ridiculously small character limit these messages/announcements have). I'll just cut to the chase.
Though I use both AO3 and Wattpad, AO3 is my main. The vast majority of my fanfiction (as well as all of my better quality fanfiction) is there and ONLY there. And I always post things there first, IF I post them on Wattpad at all. My AO3 username is KosmosTheUnderworlder.
The only fanfiction I have that's Wattpad exclusive is the TDP and ATLOK stuff. They'll be staying here (as they are only here) but I can't say the same for the others.
My Demon Slayer rewrite and chatfic publishing will be brought to a halt indefinitely. They'll continue to publish weekly as per usual on AO3, but not here (at least not now). I'm considering removing them from Wattpad entirely. I don't really see the point of having them here at all.
Hell, I'd delete my Wattpad account altogether if it weren't for the three Wattpad exclusive stories I have published on here. And who knows, I might do it in the future. However, if I do, I'll make another announcement like this one beforeward.
Welp, now I've run out of characters. I had to condense this and cut some stuff because of it but I'm somehow STILL right on the edge.
