God why do all of these (character) x reader HAVE to assume my gender? I look up Giovanni x reader and ALL I see is: she, her, princess, gurl and so on. I know I shouldn't find it insulting, but it just gets me everytime. Please, I know you don't have to do this, and it might be rude of me to ask you this. But gay people exist. Bi people exist. The list goes on. If it's (character) x FEM!reader, then I guess it's fine, because the role has been assigned and there's nothing else to it. But shouldn't the other just be gender neutral?
I'm sorry, it just infuriates me everytime I try to get into a fanfiction like this.
We don't need to get representation from you guys, just please don't shut us out just because it's "normal" for heterosexual people to date.
I know it's not meant to be insulting in any way, but I feel so wrong when I read it, my guts start to burst just because I see it... perhaps it's because I'm trans and I've dealt with a lot of issues lately, dysphoria and all that.
...it's also really late, so maybe I shouldn't be posting this without a clear mindset.
